JOBS 4 ALL
The crisis of Katrina was exacerbated
by the pervasive poverty of the people with disabilities who lived there.
Unemployment
is of the most crucial issues facing people with disabilities everywhere.
The 2004 Harris Poll found 3 times as many people with disabilities live in
poverty
and 2 times as many are unemployed compared to people without disabilities.
When people live in poverty, they cannot afford to live where they want, get
the health care they choose, or to be as independent as they are capable of.
This page
hopes to help people with employment opportunities connect to people with disabilities
who need those opportunities.

Mystery Shopping (Never pay to register to mystery shop. Great way to supplement income if you are on SSI or SSDI. Many jobs reimburse you for costs and you do not get paid - like getting reimbursed for eating out or going to the movies - no income to report. Work as an independent contractor and get a tax statement only if you make $600.00 or more per year. The following are companies I have worked for as a mystery shopper at some point or another. It is of benefit to spend $15.00 to take the MSPA* test to become a certified silver mystery shopper.)
